The latest Covid-19 Guidelines
Our therapist and client safety is a priority.
As per Government and Industry Association rules, all treatments will be available from the 12th of April 2021.
You can relax knowing that your Bassage therapists are trained in Covid-19 safety. In addition, we require all Bassage therapists to hold a Barbicide COVID-19 certificate for hygiene issued for the professional beauty industry.
All Bassage team (and their households) must be symptom-free to work. We also encourage our freelance therapists to participate in community testing every week. Our therapists are Covid-19 trained.
We have updated our Health & Safety guidelines with new hygiene and safety protocols as our therapist health and safety, likes yours, has always been a top priority. So we will look after you in the safest way possible.
What changes have been introduced?
We have introduced enhanced hygiene and safety protocols for all at-home, hotel massage treatments.
At Bassage, we follow Government Guidelines and Professional Beauty industry organisations to create the best COVID-19 safety hygiene protocols.
It is now required for all Bassage therapists:
- In line with Government guidelines, all therapists will be required to wear face masks for all treatments.
- Increase use of hand-sanitisers and hand wash
- Therapist will leave her jacket, shoes, and extra bags by the entrance door
- Equipment kit will contain anti-viral soap, wipes, and sprays to sanitise hands, tools and any surface areas used in your treatment.
- Therapist will arrive 10min early (if possible) to follow all Health Safety procedures. They will wash their hands, forearms for a minimum of 20-30seconds with hand soap and use hand sanitisers after arriving at your location. Your therapist will wash hands again before and after the treatment.
- Therapist will clean all equipment with antibacterial products before and after treatment.
- Therapist will only use client provided towels. Bassage will currently not provide table covers, pillows until further notice.
- Hold a Barbicide COVID-19 certificate for hygiene, issued for the professional beauty industry.
- Our therapist will avoid using public transport as much as possible. Currently, all of them possess cars. If any changes happen to their transport situation, we will encourage them to walk, cycle.
What we ask from clients when making a booking?
If you feel unwell.
Please avoid placing a booking if you’re unwell. You will protect not only your therapist but their future clients and their households as well. Our therapists reserve the right to refuse to perform the massage if they believe you exhibit any flu-like symptoms.
COVID-19 related screening questions to be asked ahead of their appointment over a massage and directly with a client.
- Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
- Do you have a high temperature?
- Have you noticed a change in the sense of taste or smell?
However mild, if the client has any of these symptoms, they should stay at home and reschedule their appointment.
As this time for health and safety is a top priority for everyone, we kindly ask you to prepare for your Bassage treatment in the following ways:
- Make sure your temperature before treatment is healthy (healthy temperature should be from 36.2- 37.2), if body temperature of over 37.2, treatment will have to be rescheduled, and the therapist will follow official WHO guidance’s with recommendations that the client should self-isolate for the next 7days, and if symptoms appear, further 7days (total of 14 days)
- You are symptom-free and have not been in direct contact with anyone who has symptoms in the last 7x days at least. Would you mind cancelling your appointment if you or a family member feels unwell?
- Choose an area for your treatment that is well ventilated by open doors or windows if possible.
- Ensure other household members are not in the same room during your treatment. Clean and disinfect the treatment area.
- From 08/08/2020 Under Government Guidelines: Customers must wear a face covering at all times – however, Section 6 of the guidance states that the client can remove a face covering.
- For example, if it’s essential for a particular treatment on the face area covered by the mask. Please ask your therapist for a complimentary disposable mask if you do not have one.
- Ensure your therapist has easy access to hand-washing facilities.
- After your treatment, please disinfect the treatment area and any areas your therapist has contacted.
What To Expect From Your Treatment Now?
- On arrival, your therapist will be wearing a face mask. Your therapist will leave her shoes, coat, bag by the door.
- Therapists will not use handshakes when greeting.
- Please show your therapist the way to the treatment area you have prepared.
- Your therapist will prepare the area and equipment and ask where the therapist can wash hands according to COVID-19 hygiene requirements and change into uniform. All Therapists must wear a face mask while doing a treatment.
- At the end of your treatment, we will sanitise all used equipment.
- For an extra precaution, after your therapist has left, please sanitise any surface areas, doorknobs etc., your therapist has come into contact with during the visit.
