Bassage Body & Mind’s warm, cosy treatment room features a comfortable massage bed with soft music and aromatherapy. Our therapists can choose the best combinations of essential oils to help soothe and regulate your nervous system, as many have positive effects on brain chemistry. You don’t need to thoroughly clean your house before visiting us, and you can completely separate your mind from daily stresses.
A break from stress and responsibility may be the best thing for your physical and mental health. Our normal stress hormone rhythms feature a peak in the morning and gradual taper until bed time, but a heavy load of work without breaks can disrupt this rhythm. This can lead to insomnia if stress hormones remain high, fatigue if your hormonal pathways are too expended for the morning peak, or both. High levels of stress hormones also impair digestion, which reduces the availability of nutrients to your brain and body as a whole.
When you can physically, completely step away from everyday stresses, your body’s production of stress hormones slows right down.
