Six Ways to Start a More Mindful Life
During the last 30 years, Mindfulness’s practice is being integrated into the West’s Medicine and Psychology. It is applied, scientifically studied, and therefore recognized as an effective way to reduce stress, increase self-awareness, reduce physical and psychological symptoms associated with stress and improve general well-being.
Mindfulness means paying close attention to the present moment with interest, curiosity, and acceptance.
Mindfulness during massage:
Both Mindfulness and massage are very ancient practices that date back to the human being’s very origin, but we usually see them in isolation. We share our experience with these two excellent tools that will raise your frequency to a higher level.
On the one hand, Mindfulness is a modernized meditation technique adapted to our times that is currently booming. On the other hand, constant training provides multiple benefits to our mental, spiritual, and physical state. Being in full attention comes to be, briefly explaining it, the way to connect with the present moment, renouncing the “internal dialogue”, leaving aside and only observing that constant and unstoppable maelstrom of thoughts that arrive one after another. It is achieved by concentrating on breathing, focusing on a sort of journey through different body areas and on the sensations that we have in each of them. The moment we achieve that connection, a state of absolute calm and peace is experienced.
About massage
On the other hand, many have surely experienced a good massage at some time in their life. It achieves by itself, to a recipient with a passive role, to provide well-being on a physical level, especially muscular, lymphatic, circulatory. The therapist uses various techniques or manoeuvres with different pressure and intensity levels to relieve pain and discomfort, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and even apply massage at a strictly physical level. Well-being will improve at the body mood level. But, what benefits would it bring if we combined mindfulness practice during a massage session?

Six ways to start a more mindful life
There are many great benefits to being more present and aware, but one of the most favourites is that you will not miss the beauty and enjoyment of the moment.
By being aware, you will also understand when you feel fear, resistance, insecurity, anger and when you want to postpone things – and thus, you can more easily work with these things consciously.
It sounds fantastic, but how do you become more present, and how do you remember to be? It’s so easy to get caught up in your thoughts and distractions and to forget your practice.
So, with that in mind, here are some ways to start a more mindful life:
1. Attention through breathing:
During the massage, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Notice how the chest moves from each breath to another. Feel how the stomach protrudes with each inhalation and collapses with each exhalation. It is your only task during the continued exercise to follow the breathing movements in the stomach. You will probably notice how difficult it is to keep your attention when you do because the thoughts want to pull away with you. However, as soon as it happens, you return to your breathing. You do not reject or displace the thoughts but leave them as they are, without valuing or judging. All you have to do is let go of them and return to breathing again and again.
2. The body as the focus of attention:
The more present you are in your body, the more you are in the present. Therefore, you benefit from training presence in the body. You can do this in different ways, either in silence or in motion.
In addition to feeling how it feels in the body when you do different things, such as massage, vacuuming, swimming, dancing, cycling, exercising, or walking, there are several other training methods in the body.
3. Mindfulness to the present moment:
Living in the present and accepting what is being lived fully will bring wisdom and fulfilment. Accept what is coming fully and completely, learn from it, and then let it go. It is as it should be, and it reflects infinite laws of Nature that have brought you to this exact thought, this precise physical reaction. This moment is how it is because the Universe is how it is. Don’t fight against the infinite scheme of things; on the contrary, be one with him.
4. Take time to be silent, to meditate, and to silence the inner dialogue:
In moments of silence, become aware that you are united with your source of pure awareness. First, pay attention to your inner life guided by your intuition, then either imposed from outside.
5. Free yourself from the burden of judgments:
To judge, impose the good and the bad in situations that exist. Everything can be heard and lost, but it separates from the compensation and cancels the learning process to love when it comes to juicing. Judging by the demos, you reflect that you are judging yourself.
6. Think to be grateful:
We complain about everything. But life is a miracle. Look around you: you will surely find something to be thankful for today. Be grateful for what you have, and you will not need more to live. Be grateful when you are with someone, and you will be happier with others. Life is incredible if we learn to appreciate it.
Conclusion:
When you are more aware of the present, you can make a more realistic assessment of your situation and find more positive solutions. You will find it easier to read the body’s signals. As a result, you reduce stress and recover more efficiently. You can more easily sift out what is essential.
